• Swisstopo (Federal Office of Topography) is the general starting point for data
  • the sell 25m DEMs ("DHM25") under a complicated pricing scheme
    •  200m grid is free
    • for the whole country of 250 tiles, it appeared to range from $6000 for non-commercial use to $122,000 for full commercial use
  • Swisstopo Satellite Map of Switzerland
  • Their LIDAR model is called DOM, priced by request. Density is 1 point per 2 m2.
    
• sarmap also sells 25m DEMs, around $30,000 for the whole country, with subsets available and academic discounts
• Swiss company CyberCity AG produced 3D models of Berne and downtown Zurich.
  • As of 2008, they are called CyberCity 3D and they are a collaborative partner with Google in their "Cities in 3D" program.
• Felix Morsdorf at University of Zurich - Irchel is working with high-resolution heightmaps of Swiss National Park
• Univ. of Zurich's Remote Sensing Laboratories: Research has done modelling of parts of Switzerland including Animation of a Mountain Glacier, using the VTP software
